We all know that for now that Google owns the Internet. If your site isn’t appearing in Google search results, or it’s performing more poorly than it once did and if you believe that you have been a bad boy to Google and ever since you have been punished by Google, you have repented, then you can ask Google to reconsider your site.
In addition, if you recently purchased a domain that you think may have violated our guidelines before you owned it, you can use the reconsideration request form to let Google know that you recently acquired the site and that it now adheres to the guidelines.
To request reconsideration of your site:
- First, make sure you’ve added your site to your Webmaster Tools account, and verified site ownership.
- Sign in to Google Webmaster Tools.
- On the Dashboard, under Tools in the list on the right, click Request reconsideration and follow the steps.
Steps to be considered for Google Reconsideration Request :
1. Take your time. If you noticed there are some changes in your page ranking, then most probably due to Google is in the process of updating its search algorithm. There is no need to rush into submitting your reconsideration request.
2. Describe everything clearly. If you have any idea that would have led to the penalty, then you should explain in detail. Make sure you fill in everything that might be considered as the violation of Google guidelines.
3. Be Frank. As saying goes, “Honesty is the best policy”. Tell Google more about what happened: what actions might have led to any penalties, and what corrective actions have been taken.
